The team can sign a quarterback in free agency or draft one. It’s possible a bargain-priced veteran could be added, or they could re-sign Sam Darnold, but it’s doubtful the team will make a run at a high-priced veteran such as Derek Carr with the team ranked in the bottom half of the league in salary cap space. Their cap is currently around $9 million with expectations to get between $15 million and $20 million with offseason moves (see linebacker Shaq Thompson with a $24.5 cap figure).

The Panthers are undoubtedly going to draft the best QB available. It will probably represent a tremendous upgrade.

Hopefully they trade up from 9 & get one of Stroud, Young or Levis.

OK, I have a fantasy football question. I am in an 8 team 2 QB and a superflex dynasty start up. I have 1.1 and i'm just wondering if i should draft a QB with my first three picks.

I have posted this on a couple topics. I'm just wondering what everyone's thoughts are.

Sorry, apparently, I can't create a topic and it doesn't belong with any of the existing topics. I don't get this game.

The fantasy football talk section is for discussing various topics, mostly related to specific players. This is the DJ Moore thread e.g. that's that topic that should be discussed in this thread

There is an assistant coach section of the forum for just straight asking for advice

I think you have to have a certain # of posts before you can open threads. Just go and reply to a bunch of topics in AC until you reach that threshold

I mentioned this in another thread: There is an assistant coach forum where specific questions to your team/draft/setup/league etc can be asked. This "section" or forum if you will is usually for specific player discussion or overall general fantasy discussion.

Questions to your specific situation and league can go in this forum and I would be glad to answer any questions:

Getting back to DJM I'm trying to buy everywhere in my dynasty leagues but not having much luck so far. He's not even 26 yet and I believe the offense will be better next year. Trying to get him before a QB upgrade happens.

I don't know how to past tweets here, but he had a post right after the trade with the "shocked/I can't believe it" emoji.  I interpreted it to mean he wasn't happy with the move.  But Fields will certainly be the most gifted QB he's played with in his career, and he's certainly going to be the WR1.  I am hoping to get him at a discount since people will think he's shackled in a run-centric offense.

Idk, Cam Newton was a pretty gifted QB as well.

Moore is a sensible pairing with Fields - a receiver who excels at generating YAC and getting open deep plays to Fields’s two main strengths as a passer: throwing deep and throwing screens.  Moore will also allow Fielda to further develop as a passer - when evaluating Moore, some will also forget how Fields substantially improved as a passer once they figured out they should allow him to drop back more often and create plays on the run instead of closeting him in the pocket.

Not the biggest WR, nor the fastest, but he knows how to win! On the replay, note the concentration, check the placement of the right hand just a half-sec before the ball the arrives, bada-chee!   https://www.panthers.com/video/highlight-dj-moore-catches-24-yard-td-pass-from-sam-darnold

A great haul by the Bears, but they absolutely have to go cra-cra up front. Make that OL dominant & deep.

He can't possibly be more overdrafted than he was last year, but I get the feeling this forum will try.  Moore is a great real world WR.  Fields is an exciting fantasy world QB.

I don't see much WR fantasy value here though.  Will be a low end 2 high end 3 at years end, but a middling WR4 for the majority of the weeks we play the game.

Duels averaged roughly 146 yards and 1TD pass per game last year.  Expecting 100yards and a TD to happen very often for any WR in that team, is a bad bet.  Fields is still improving, Moore can definitely help increase his production, but... Basically a Do Not Draft for me.

With Claypoole, Mooney, and Kmet competing for targets, on top of the RBs getting another ~60 targets, even though Moore is clearly the most talented and likely to lead the team in all categories, that lead will not be worth drafting for me.  The low volume combined with a severe lack of TDs throughout his career, is a bad combo.

Hard pass.
