No no no. I punt returned in college. And was RB . Punt return takes a lot of skill trust me. I mean I suppose im just another Joe to you but I guarantee you ask any pro and they would say the same.

It doesn't require you to learn plays, be able to run routes, block, etc. so theoretically you should be able to find a skilled punt returner easier than a skilled WR

Catch it and run forward...what other play does a punt returner need to learn?

Wow, Deke - do you actually want you to list plays?  Or are you willing to just admit you know very little about how actual football works?

Agree to disagree. Desmond Howard’s. They are back there for a reason. Hands is number one. Ready to get smeared . Tough. Fast. Situational smarts. And mist importantly not get squared up on while gaining some yards.

Yes, yes, yes. So you think route running, hand eye coordination required to catch, creating separation, etc, requires less skill than returning punts? Devin Hester was probably the best return man (kick offs) ever. Couldn’t play receiver for ****. A receiver is more important over the course of a game.

I agree with you there are definitely qualities that make a good returner. I'm just saying in general you could be a good punt returner even if you didn't have some of the skills required to be a good WR. My whole point is i think Lamb returning punts is unnecessary lol
