This whole situation is freaking me out. I'm not only a Zeke owner, but also a Cook owner. So if the 6-game suspension is enforced this week, my fantasy team/season is done.

It would be somewhat of a relief if I knew who's going to start in place of Zeke, if suspended, but I don't even know that. I plan to submit a waiver claim for DMC and Morris this week, and then just roll with whoever I get. I should be able to get one of them, not both. Ugh.

Looks like the Judges are beating up the NFL lawyers a bit on the irreparable harm argument.  Here is a link with a series of tweets from Kate Hairopoulos who was inside the court room.

I've been saying this for a while, but there is no way competent Judges can find that the NFL will be irreparably harmed by letting Zeke play this season when they can just as easily suspend him next year. The only harm that could be suffered in this situation is by Zeke if he is suspended for 6 games and ultimately wins. He can never get those games back. There is nothing to be nervous about.

FU Goodell.  He basically is trying to save face here and is throwing everything he can to get his way, despite the NFL screwing up the case.  Can't wait for this pompous dude to be taken out of office.

Let's talk about the actual game.  Whoop whoop!  This is the guy I drafted in the first round.  Loved that he scored one of his TDs on a pass reception.  Let's hope he can continue to play!

Yea...competency is key here.  Simple yet solid questions from the judges to NFL lawyers like:

1. It matters what information was given to the Commissioner, doesn't it?  (in reference to recommendation by investigator that there is NOT enough evidence to judge against EZ).

2. How do you satisfy irreparable harm?  Judge who asked that question noted EZ can't get games back if he serves suspension now....before trial.

3. Is it normal for the NFL process not to include investigators' recommendations?  ouch.

I have no legal knowledge basis for this. But gut feeling, I feel 1000x better now than I did an hour ago about his outlook. Hopefully escapes the suspension for this year.

From what I understood from discussion prior to the hearing, a quick ruling likely is in Elliott's favor, while a ruling in 1-2 weeks is likely against Elliott. Sounds like they should give a decision by tomorrow. That sounds positive.

Judges Prado and Elrod seemed disturbed by the premature filing, per reddit user u/FoxNO who was apparently in the courtroom.

Some random guy on the internet said it so it has to be true.

All sarcasm aside, not sure what the guy stands to gain from lying.  His account seems like he's actually from that area.

I hope the NFL gets what's coming to them in this case....This whole Zeke thing was just very, very sloppy from all I've read.  I just find it terrible that the NFL feels like they can do a better job investigating this sort of stuff than law enforcement.

Back to Zeke, he seems to be rounding in to form a bit.  I'd like to see the Cowboys using him more as a receiver and really don't think they're taking enough advantage of his skills there.  There's bigger games coming if he can stay on the field.

Theoretically Monday, yes. But if they want to dig deeper and schedule additional hearings, it could be another week or two. Fwiw if the latter is the case, odds are Zeke serves his suspension immediately. Monday ruling would probably be in Zeke's favor.

Just like I called it last week.

Ruling tomorrow = Zeke plays all year

Ruling next week or later = Suspended immediately = RIP 2017 Fantasy season

Here's from a lawyer who was in the room:

Elrod is an NFL vote. Graves is a Zeke vote. Prado will be the swing. He did not seem to agree with Kessler on the jurisdictional arguments (he thinks Zeke filed prematurely), but he also favored Zeke on the equities (Zeke cannot get games back, but NFL can suspend later). After listening to arguments I would guess 60/40 stay is denied and accelerated briefing on preliminary injunction. Overall Zeke got a good panel for him.

I would pick up Morris for now and wait for decision by the end of the week.

Prado equated it to an (impermissible) interlocutory appeal. NFL attorney wisel;y came back and said it would be like filing an appeal after being denied on a pre-trial evidentiary motion.

Kessler is Zeke's lawyer.

How are you feeling about things? You think 60/40 that he plays the remainder of the season?

My feelings don't matter.  I have no clue.  This lawyer who was there just guessed 60/40 that the stay is denied, which would mean that Zeke plays until the next hearing is decided, whenever that is.  What a headache.

Anyone who is 100% convinced this guy could never have gotten violent with that girl really needs to ask Santa for a douuchebag radar this Christmas.

Unfortunately the legal system can’t just order the NFL to have a few players take him somewhere, beat the s--- out of him, and call it a day.
