zoinnk
So I've never played FFB before but have been given the daunting commissioner task for my office league. I would like to hear some suggestions on league settings (e.g., roster size, # of starters for each position, etc.). I don't really know if 10 teams is big or small in FFB. Thanks! jgendronjr
10-14 teams is the norm in football. My 10 team league has setting like this... .1 Pts per yard Rushing and Receiving. .1 Pts per 2 yards passing 6 pts per all TD's Passing, Rushing and Receiving 3 pts per FG under 50 yards 5 pts per FG over 50 yards 1 pt per PAT -2 Pts per Fumble lost -2 pts per INT Defense we use standard CBS defense scoring which I cant remember off the top of my head. In a 10 team we use 1 QB, 2RB, 2 WR, 1 Flex (which can be WR, TE or RB), 1 TE, 1 K and 1 ST/DEF and we use 7 bench. No injured spots. Most leagues use 1 pt per 10 yards Rushing and Receiving but we found that .1 per yard works much much better and avoids ties most 100% of the time. We use a 14 week regular season with 2 weeks of playoffs to be run in weeks 15 and 16. Week 17 is bad to use as a super bowl seeing as a lot of teams bench regulars. We use a $500 entry fee per team. We reward the weekly high scorer $50 every week. At the end of the season pays out are... $2000 to the winner $1300 to 2nd place and $1000 to the regular season point leader. We do a snake draft because an auction is not as fun in football. Simply because loading up on 2 RB's can win you the league. It has happened with our league we tried it last year and the winner spent all his money on LT, LJ and filled in with bums and won it all so we went back to snake draft. Hope that helped.
