  1. Hey guys, I created a fantasy football app that matches 2 users and they compete in a snake draft with a pool of 20 players. I really like playing in superflex leagues because it increases the positional scarcity at the QB position which creates a lot more strategies than a standard league provides. This snake draft creates different positional scarcity each draft depending on the number of each position available and skill discrepancy. If you go to juused.com you can test out the player pool function. I'm looking for some beta users to help test it and possibly be involved in the creative process. This will be an app that users can bet on so if you are one of the testers I will give you $20 worth of free play, no deposit required. Please let me know if you are interested.

  3. I'm creating a dfs app that matches 2 users and they compete in a snake draft with a pool of 20 players. Let me know if you are interested in trying it and being a part of the creative process with any modifications. Thanks
  4. Without a doubt, it is difficult to organize a draft, but in this case it is only 2 people per draft so i think it will go a lot quicker. And by doing it correspondence people can pick on their own terms they just have to finish before the games start. Correspondence allows people to make their pick whenever they want without a timer. Do you think thats leaving out too many good players? People want at least a few good to great players on their roster, especially the casual players. I really appreciate the feedback, please be as critical as you can be
  5. agree with @thebadferret, there would also be site rankings It would be correspondence up until an hour before the games begin, Thursday night games kinda makes it difficult, but could figure out a way around it. Users would be able to favorite players once the draftpool is set incase they forget or miss their pick, otherwise it would be autopicked based on projections. I agree with @thebadferret that people will be organized and want to draft and everyone has a phone on them nowadays Yes you bring up a good point. I can create an algorithm that accounts for this. I'm trying to figure out exactly how it should do it. Possibly: select a player randomly, base the next selection off of the previous players rank and select a player within 2 ranks of that player. So it is drafting the players in pairs of ~equal skill.
  6. Yes they do snake drafts, it was bought by fanduel. But it is more for 3+ people draft. I want to create a dfs game that has 5050 odds just like a straight bet in sports betting. If you were to do a h2h snake draft on their site every player would be available which trivializes the skill in drafting. My idea would be to only allow 25% of draftable players to be available.
  7. This idea stems from the frequent quitting of players in my traditional fantasy leagues. Most people like drafting more than managing. So the gamemode is a league with x people and each week you get matched up h2h like in traditional fantasy. Except there is not a 12 person draft, rather you draft h2h against your opponent each week. So there is not any managing only drafting (similar to dfs), and you don't have to worry about injuries. Normally a snake draft with only 2 people trivializes the skill in drafting; both teams will be stacked and only have first rounders. This gamemode would be a H2H snake draft but would only select ~25% of "draftable players (the 30 starting qbs, 30 rbs, and top 40 wrs, and top 20 tes) to the draftpool, so the draftpool would have around 25-30 players. The 25% would be different every draft and scripts really couldn't be used since it's a new player pool every time. Also, now you are not just drafting based on football knowledge but also on which position groups have a surplus of talent, and based on which position your opponent drafts. For example: if only 2 qbs are selected to the pool, once 1 user selects a qb, the second guy would not pick his until his last pick since the first guy will not pick a 2nd qb. Another example would be if there are a lot of good players at one position (say RB) then it would be worth it to wait on drafting that position (even though they are normally picked early) because the drop off in talent is greater at other positions. The main reason for the subset of players is so both teams are not just drafting all 1st rounders. Do you think this would be a good gamemode? What do like and not like about it
