  1. I had the highest of hopes for Javonte this season but unfortunately looks like a 50/50 split with Gordon the whole way through. And why wouldn't they keep using both? I understand the idea that RBs need to get in a rhythm, but Gordon is averaging 4.7 Yards per Carry, Javonte is at 4.6. Their stats across the board are identical so it's not like one is running way ahead of the other. Plus around the league you see RBs dropping like flies, and at 3-3, Denver is still very much alive for the playoffs. I hate it as a guy who owns Williams in 75% of my leagues, but unless an injury happens to Gordon, it's most likely going to keep being a 50/50 dead even split unfortunately. Now this week a lot of managers, including myself, have to play Williams out of necessity due to the byepocalypse that is Week 7, so I'm hoping Williams' 50% tonight turns into something useful.
  2. This is Washington we're talking about. 99% of the time I would agree but I can't buy that logic with this franchise.
  3. Unfortunately even with Gronk out, it doesn't seem to lead to more targets for Brate. Brate might be able to grab a TD one of these weeks if Gronk remains sidelined, but hard to trust him in the line-up and seems there's better streaming options out there.
  4. If anything, most likely a one week rental, but if Gronk sits, Brate could be a nice fill-in for team's playing the streaming game. Brate has worked ahead of Howard by a good margin and seemed to get a decent bump in snaps last week when Gronk went out.
  5. If you have a spot to use, and your platform allows dropping players after their games are played, wouldn't hurt to grab Carlos Hyde and/or Samaje Perine before Thursday's game. Can most likely be had for free. Hang on to them for Thursday to see if any injuries pop up, and if not, cut bait and grab someone else for the weekend.
  6. One interesting thing mentioned on the Footballers Podcast, was that since this guy was signed from another team's practice squad, he must remain on the active 53-man roster for at least three weeks.
  7. Please. Please. Please. Please. Please
  8. To this point, does anyone have any intel on how his pass blocking was in Week 1? I haven't found any formal grades or anything, but a CBS article from the pre-draft season ranked Gainwell as the second best RB in pass protection. NFL.com had his pass-blocking as a strength. Here's a video of a Youtuber breaking down some of Gainwell's Week 1 game. The first minute of the video he reviews a great block from Gainwell on Dante Fowler
  9. It's only one week and he got 100% of the snaps. Upcoming schedule is Raiders, Bengals and Packers. If he's still stinking up the place after Week 4 then it's time to panic. Until then, let's see how it shakes out. I imagine the Steelers will be favored in all 3 of their upcoming games which should give Harris tons of positive game script to work with.
  10. Some names to throw out there early (in no particular order) QB Jameis Winston RB Elijah Mitchell Kenneth Gainwell Tony Jones Jr Mark Ingram WR KJ Osborn Tim Patrick KJ Hamler Christian Kirk Jalen Reagor TE James O'Shaugnessy Tyler Higbee Juwan Johnson Cole Kmet
  11. Started Ron Jones in 2 leagues last night. Would have gotten more points by leaving it empty.
  12. Yeah 12 PPR points probably isn't pitching a tent for anyone but that's a pretty solid output IMO without a TD.
  13. Yeah last night was rough for people (myself included) who played the Hero RB strategy and rolled Jones out there in their lineups last night. We all knew the risk for benching was there with a fumble, and sure enough that's what happened. Jones is still a talented back, and I don't think Fournette did much to separate himself all that much. They both averaged sub 4 YPC last night. Thought we were going to get more from the Bucs' run game as a heavy favorite against the porous Dallas defense. Jones will have some big games I'm sure throughout the season, but tough to tell when, and tough to trust him in a line-up.
  14. Trenton Cannon makes the 53-man roster and Lev Bell on the practice squad. Gus and Williams should get all the RB work.
  15. So you think Washington could finish Top 20-25 in the NFL in carries? That's where 8-10 carries a game would put him. I think it's more likely he gets 8-10 snaps a game.
